The stylish BMW 3 Series Convertible has won a coveted Gold Award for excellent design in the 2008 iF Product Design Awards.

The 3 Series Convertible follows in the footsteps of the 3 Series Coupé and 3 Series Sedan, which were judged winners for outstanding excellence in design in the previous two years.

The previous-generation BMW 3 Series Convertible also picked up the exclusive award, back in 2001.

The most recent accolade shows that the BMW design team has scored a winner yet again.

The award was presented by “Industrie Forums Design” at the opening of the CeBit technology fair in Hanover today.

The ‘iF’ label is renowned and acknowledged the world over as a symbol of comprehensive, up-to-date product quality in design.

Presented once a year, this special award gives leading designers, manufacturers and brands the unique opportunity to successfully face global, inter-disciplinary and therefore highly challenging competition.

In recent years the BMW Group has won a large number of prizes and awards. Numerous vehicles as well as accessories and lifestyle products marketed by BMW Group brands already wear the ‘iF’ label.
