The sporting character of the popular BMW’s 3 Series Convertible will soon be
intensified with introduction of an optional M Sport Package.
Enhancing not just the sleek and elegant styling of the open-air two-door
model, but also driving dynamics and passenger comfort, the BMW 3 Series
Convertible, equipped with M Sport Package, will be available for customer
deliveries in May.
The arrival follows the successful November launch of the M Sport Package for
the 3 Series Coupé.
The popular BMW M Sport Package is available on both 3 Series Convertible
models, with prices varying because of the different equipment levels applying
to the 325i and 335i variants.
The M Sport Package makes a dramatic styling impact with an asymmetrical
18-inch wheel and tyre combination comprising 8J x 18 Star spoke 193 M
light-alloy wheels with 225/40 R18 tyres at the front, and 8.5J x 18 wheels with
255/35 R18 tyres at the rear.
Maximising the grip of this wheel and tyre combination is the BMW M Sports
suspension that adds an even more dynamic emphasis to the 3 Series Convertible’s
on-road abilities and lowers the car by 15 millimetres.
The purposeful stance provided by the M light alloy wheels and M Sports
suspension is accentuated by the BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line, and by
the M Aerodynamics Package that includes an aggressive frontal treatment
emphasised by larger air intakes, specific side skirts and a dramatic,
distinctive rear bumper panel.
The differences continue in the sumptuous 3 Series Convertible cabin, where
the M Sport Package cossets the driver and front-seat passenger in sculpted and
highly supportive sports seats.
Further highlighting the M Sport Package experience is the M leather steering
wheel, as well as the 'Shortshifter' gear lever and the 'Aero' leather handbrake
grip.
Aluminium Glacier Silver trim finish and M door sill finishers also
highlight the M Sport Package interior. Wood interior trim is optionally
available.
If the 18-inch 193 M Sport Package wheel and tyre combination is not enough,
a double-spoke 19-inch 225M light-alloy wheel measuring 8J x 19 with 225/35 R19
tyres at the front, and 9 J x 19 with 255/30 R19 tyres at the rear, is
optionally available for an additional $1,500.
The aggressively sporty style of the 3 Series Convertible equipped with the M
Sport Package is available with a range of colours including two non-metallic’s
– Alpine White and Crimson Red – and optional Titanium Silver, Black Sapphire
and Sparkling Graphite metallic’s along with the exclusive M-paintwork Le Mans
Blue metallic.
The BMW M Sport Package will be available for all 3 Series Convertible models
from May.
