Audi’s latest record result is 676 units in the month of June,
an increase of 53 percent compared with June 2006.
Cumulatively, the brand has sold 3,819 new vehicles in the
first six months, well in excess of the full year 2004 sales figure of 3,708
units. Furthermore, Audi is now 43 percent up compared with its June YTD 2006
result.
Audi’s managing director, Joerg Hofmann, is justifiably proud
of yet another record result for the brand in Australia and says the success is
largely thanks to strong product, growing brand awareness and the right dealer
network.
“Since Audi Australia became a National Sales Company of AUDI
AG, we have put the right building blocks in place to guarantee its successful
growth. The combination of a strong head office team, a strong dealer network,
exceptional product, smart investments both in facilities, training and brand
awareness to consistent communication with customers has seen Audi reach and
exceed its sales targets in the first six months of 2007,” Mr Hofmann said.
“We are confident that we will continue to grow steadily and
maintain the momentum of the brand in the second half of the year. To sell more
cars in just six months compared with a full year of sales in 2004 is a great
achievement for the entire Audi team.
“This is further proof that Audi is finding favour with luxury
car buyers in Australia, and we are now in a position to continually conquest
sales from other brands thanks to the exceptional new vehicles which keep
arriving on our shores including the new R8 and A5 models.”
“Audi is a successful brand for successful people,” Mr Hofmann
said.
