A sophisticated shade of charcoal, a colour which infers style and
luxury, is used extensively throughout the interior of the new sports luxury
turbo Territory range.
"Our research helped determine that darker colours create an interior which
is both alluring and exciting, exactly the attributes we wanted to convey in the
new turbo models," said Colour and Trim Design Manager, Ms Debbie Pascoe.
"It also creates a real impact when someone gets into the vehicle - the
interior is quite different from anything currently available in the Ford range
and thus delivers a unique sense of elegance and prestige."
The interior of the Territory Turbo features a warm charcoal environment with
eucalyptus contrast, which flows through to the black suede style seat trim. A
sophisticated metallic-effect weave fabric also features on the Territory Turbo
seats.
A four-way power driver seat is standard on the Territory Turbo.
The higher specification Territory Ghia Turbo features a similar warm
charcoal interior, but with a warm charcoal leather seat trim featuring silver
stitching and a six-way power driver seat with memory function.
Both models feature command driving position seats which offer improved
lateral support thanks to larger bolsters, and new front seat head restraints
that contribute to the sporty appearance.
Territory Turbo is fitted with a leather sports steering wheel, while a
luxury sports steering wheel and leather wrapped park brake are fitted to the
Territory Ghia Turbo. A leather insert gear lever is standard on both
models.
"The Interior Command Centre (ICC) of the new Territory Ghia Turbo is
finished in black onyx with satin chrome highlights, and is a real statement in
style," said Ms Pascoe.
"It is sleek and sophisticated and creates a further sense of luxury and
prestige."
The Territory Ghia Turbo ICC unit includes a premium audio system with 6-disc
in-dash CD player, colour screen and dual zone climate control.
The instrument clusters are also unique to the turbo Territory range, with a
distinguishable variation in illumination, colour and finish between the two
models.
"Territory Turbo features blue illumination representing a luxury sports
image, and the white backlighting found in the Territory Ghia Turbo creates an
even greater sense of prestige," added Ms Pascoe.
In keeping with the virtues established by the original Territory, the new
turbo models continue to provide an exceptionally innovative interior.
Each turbo model boasts more than 30 storage units including a lockable
compartment under the driver's seat and a removable and dishwasher safe rubbish
bin.
Territory's 60/40 split fold down second row seat further extends its
versatile load carrying ability.
Both vehicles offer flexible seating arrangements, including the renowned
Territory attribute of being able to transport as many as seven people when
fitted with optional third row seats.
"The colours we have chosen create a strong assertive impression as well as a
sense of understated elegance, befitting of a luxury SUV," said Ms Pascoe.
"The sophisticated dark interiors of the new vehicles complement the exterior
styling and performance attributes of the turbo Territory range beautifully."
