The perennial favourite among luxury Coupé and Convertible buyers, the 3 Series models are already extremely well specified, but now, even more previously optional equipment has been added to make the cars even more attractive.

The 325Ci and 325Ci High-line Convertibles gain an on board monitor with television receiver as standard for all cars built from April and May production respectively.

Normally this is a $3,000 option but BMW is making the very useful and entertaining feature available at no additional cost.

For the ever popular E46 series 320Ci and 325Ci Coupés, BMW is adding the popular M Sport Package, Sunroof and a Special Edition Package (comprising BMW Individual paint, Nappa leather, Birch Anthracite wood trim, floor mats with piping, special door trims, and bi-colour steering wheel) as standard.

This adds up to a significant $8,150 at retail prices, but again this equipment is now standard on 320Ci and 325Ci models at no additional uplift in price.

In March 2006, BMW announced an increase in the standard equipment across the X5 family.

At that time BMW added on-board monitor with TV, Park Distance Control, CD stacker and Bluetooth phone preparation for X5 3.0i and 3.0d six-cylinder models. This equipment was valued at $7,470, but was offered for only an additional $1,000.

For the V8-powered X5 4.4i, BMW Navigation was bundled with Bluetooth phone preparation for no additional uplift in price. And the ultra-sporty X5 4.8is gained Business Bluetooth preparation, including a handset, for no additional cost.

Now BMW is offering a Rear View Camera on all X5 models, again at no additional cost to the customer.

"The X5 remains one of Australia’s best-loved luxury four-wheel drive vehicles, even after seven years of sales. The addition of the Rear View camera, an option we have been offering to the market for several years, adds yet further peace of mind to families.

"For 3 Series Coupé and Convertible buyers, the uplift in features is significant and we are sure it will be well received by the market."
