The Mercedes-Benz B-Class has been rated “safest small family car” in a recent
car safety report carried out by UK based Which? magazine.
Which?, a consumer advisory body has published the report in its March
2006 magazine, highlighting cars which offer drivers and passengers the best
protection in the event of an accident. It recommends new car buyers ensure
their choice of vehicle is equipped with stability control technology and
highlights ESP® as potential life-saving technology.
The B-Class is the new all-rounder from Mercedes-Benz. It combines
practicality and spaciousness with style and performance and has a wide range of
standard safety features, to give drivers and passengers peace of mind. These
include Steering Assist, Acceleration Skid Control (ASR), Anti-lock braking
system (ABS), Brake Assist (BAS) and Electronic Stability Program (ESP®).
Horst von Sanden, managing director, Mercedes Car Group, said: “Mercedes-Benz

see the B-Class receiving independent recognition of its high safety standards.”
The Mercedes-Benz B-Class went on sale in the Australia in November 2005 with
the B 200 and B 200 TURBO models. The first Mercedes-Benz compact diesel
vehicle, the B 180 CDI, will arrive in May completing the B-Class range.
