Chrysler will display its innovative Voyager Stow ‘n Go model at the Brisbane
International Motor Show, 4–13 February, 2005 giving the Australian public its
first glimpse at the people mover-first feature.
Stow ‘n Go gives owners of the 2005 Chrysler Voyager the ability to easily
fold their second- and third-row seats into the floor in as little as 30 seconds
with a simple one-hand operation.
With Stow ‘n Go there are 256 possible seating positions and an additional
340 litres of available storage, providing owners unprecedented flexibility and
convenience.
With the second- and third-row seats folded flat into the floor, Voyager has
van like transport capacity providing space for large, unwieldy cargo. When the
seats are up, the storage bins below offer an additional 340 litres of storage
space to keep valuables, groceries and other cargo out of sight and securely
tucked away.
Owners will be further comforted knowing that the Voyager has recently been
awarded the maximum five-star US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
safety rating for the frontal impact crash test to add to its five-star side
impact rating.
Voyager’s comprehensive equipment list includes three-row supplemental side
curtain airbags, advanced multistage front air bags, ABS, V6 power, tri-zone air
conditioning, seven seat capacity along with available power sliding doors and
lift gate and rear park assist.
“Stow ‘n Go represents yet another leapfrog for the Chrysler Group in the
people mover segment,” said Gerry Jenkins, managing director, Chrysler Jeep
Australia.
“The system offers unmatched convenience, versatility, and storage, further
separating Voyager from the competition.
“Combined with its comfort, safety and long list of features, Chrysler
Voyager is clearly the stand out people mover to transport your precious
luggage,” added Jenkins.
Chrysler Voyager prices start from $55,990 for the SE model.
Another car that will attract Motor Show goers to the Chrysler stand is the
Chrysler 300C.
This will be the first opportunity for the Brisbane public to view the rear
wheel drive sedan that has taken America by storm.
Since being launched in the US, the 300C, equipped with Chrysler’s popular
V-8 Hemi® engine, has become America’s “in” sedan, with monthly sales volumes
reaching levels of over 10,000 units, and the car taking out top spot in both
the prestigious ‘2005 North American Car of the Year’ and ‘2005 MOTOR TREND Car
of the Year’ awards in the United States.
The 300C marks Chrysler’s re-entry into the premium saloon segment, providing
customers in Australia with a genuine alternative in a segment where the options
have traditionally been limited.
The Chrysler 300C will arrive in Australia in late 2005 with two engine
variants on offer, the 5.7 litre HEMI® V-8, and a 3.5-litre high-output V-6.
